Public Notice of Election

Municipality: CLARENDON
Polling day: NOVEMBER 2, 2025

By this public notice, Patricia Hobbs, returning officer, announces the following to the electors of the municipality:

  1. The following seats are open for candidates:
    • Mayor seat
    • Seat of councillor 1
    • Seat of councillor 2
    • Seat of councillor 3
    • Seat of councillor 4
    • Seat of councillor 5
    • Seat of councillor 6
  2. Any nomination papers must be filed at the office of the returning officer (or the assistant designated to receive nomination papers, where applicable) from September 19, 2025, to October 3, 2025, on the following days and times:
    • Monday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    ⚠️ Important: On Friday, October 3rd the office will be open continuously from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  3. If more than one person wishes to be a candidate for the same seat, you may exercise your voting right at your assigned polling station at the following dates and hours:
    • Polling day: Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.Advance polling day: Sunday, October 26, 2025, from noon to 8 p.m.

    ➝ If you are unable to move about for health reasons and are registered on the list of electors as a domiciled person, you may ask your returning officer until Wednesday, October 15, 2025, to vote in your room located in a recognized health care facility or in your home. The same applies to your caregiver.
